They are great to add extra features to your camera, the red button didn't fit onto my Sony a9 as it was loose since my a9 is a curved button compared to the flat red sticker that came with it. The other bands would be useful when shooting in sandy conditions and the little stickers that covered the cbuttons worked well. I would say overall, it's nice to have but not necessary unless you want your camera to stand out above others.
